As the Arrowverse has officially concluded after over a decade’s run on The CW, one of the long-time stars of the DC franchise shares their feelings on its ending.
In a new interview with KJ Today, Jon Cryer looked back at the Arrowverse’s legacy after having played Lex Luthor on the Earth-Prime-based shows prior to Michael Cudlitz’s casting in Superman & Lois. Cryer, who last portrayed Lex in Supergirl season 6, celebrated the franchise’s incredible run and mentioned how he wished he could have also been on Superman & Lois, sharing the following:
The whole Arrowverse was just one for the nerds. I loved being a nerd. I loved reveling in it. We got into the deepest, darkest recesses of DC lore. I am sorry to see Superman and Lois go as well, because I think that was just a fantastic new look at those characters. I think they managed to really crack it by being faithful to who Superman is. And my biggest regret is that I never was on it.
