“I’m not losing a diver today!” Focus Features has unveiled an official trailer for a true story thriller called Last Breath, made by filmmaker Alex Parkinson. Not to be confused with the other shark movie this year called The Last Breath, this one is entirely different (though they both take place underwater). Last Breath is a fictionalized dramatic version of the same story told in the 2019 documentary Last Breath. A true story that follows seasoned deep-sea divers as they battle the raging elements to rescue their crew mate trapped hundreds of feet below the ocean’s surface. He was 262ft underwater when his umbilical line got caught & cut, leaving him with only an emergency air tank. Starring Woody Harrelson, Simu Liu, and Finn Cole. Last Breath hits theaters February 2025 early next year. This looks extraordinarily intense – it’s going to be a grip-the-seat, white-knuckle experience in theaters that’s for damn sure. At least Woody is giving us hope!

Here’s the first official trailer for Alex Parkinson’s movie Last Breath, direct from Focus’ YouTube:
